If you’re in Wisconsin, this free CDL school bus practice test is for you!
Since the United States is a car-reliant country averaging roughly two vehicles per household, most of its residents use a car to get around. Whether commuting to work, adventuring on road trips or simply running errands like grocery shopping, the first choice tends to be a personal vehicle. But what about students who are too young to obtain a driver’s license? What if their parents don’t have one either?
Introduced in the 1920s, school buses are specialized vehicles designed to transport students to and from school. They’re easily recognizable due to their bright yellow color, chosen for increased visibility in various weather conditions. These buses have several unique features, such as flashing lights, high seat backs, and stop arms. Built to meet strict safety standards, they can only be operated by trained professionals.
To become a school bus driver in Wisconsin, you’ll need a School Bus (S) Endorsement on your Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). If the school bus is designed to carry 16 or more occupants, you’ll also need a Passenger Vehicles (P) Endorsement. Additionally, your CDL must authorize you to operate vehicles with air brakes if the school bus you intend to drive is equipped with air brakes. This restriction is removed by passing an additional written exam.
The official 2025 CDL manual explains these concepts well, but it’s not enough on its own. Our CDL School Bus practice tests closely reflect the official exam, allowing you to become familiar with its content and format. Consisting of 21 questions, these practice tests can be used both as an educational tool and a way of evaluating your knowledge. This CDL school bus practice test makes it easy to pass in Wisconsin!
Since there is no time limit, students can take as long as they need to select an answer. Immediate feedback and a detailed explanation of the correct answer are provided after each question, so you don’t have to wait until the end of the test to know your score. You should practice regularly and only take the official written exam once you consistently obtain a passing score on our practice tests.
