DE CDL Double/Triple Trailers Practice Test 2 2025

  • Perfect for first-time and renewal CDL/CLP applicants, and those adding endorsements

In the First State, opportunities abound for CDL drivers. With a Delaware Class A CDL, you’re just one step away from unlocking new earning potential by adding a Doubles/Triples (T) Endorsement. This endorsement authorizes you to legally operate double and triple trailer combinations, giving you access to high-demand, higher-paying positions with carriers like FedEx Freight, XPO Logistics, and Ruan Transportation.

In Delaware, the Doubles/Triples Knowledge Test is based on Section 7 of the Delaware Commercial Driver License Manual. When you take the official exam, you’ll face 20 multiple-choice questions, and you must answer at least 16 correctly (80%) to pass. If you fail, you must wait at least one business day before retesting, and additional fees apply after three failed attempts.

We can help you pass on your first try. Our Free Delaware CDL Doubles/Triples Knowledge Practice Tests are built to mirror the Delaware DMV format and include scientifically proven features to enhance your learning process. These include real-time feedback, hints, and AI-powered study tools. Unlike generic study guides, our practice tests are designed to improve retention and speed your learning process.

Our practice materials are drawn directly from the Delaware CDL Manual and cover all tested subjects, including preventing “crack-the-whip” rollovers, coupling and uncoupling multiple trailers, avoiding jackknifes and trailer rollovers, proper braking techniques with air brakes, and inspection procedures for combination vehicles.

To operate doubles in Delaware without restriction, you must also pass the Air Brakes Knowledge Test and take your skills test in a vehicle equipped with air brakes. Otherwise, you will retain an “L” restriction on your CDL, which will make driving doubles and triples illegal.

You may also want to add endorsements like N (Tank Vehicles), H (Hazardous Materials), X (Tank + Hazmat), P (Passenger), and S (School Bus). We offer Delaware-specific practice tests for each. Each endorsement you add increases your overall marketability and job potential.

Whether you’re driving near Wilmington’s commercial hubs, hauling along I-95, or running loads between Delaware’s ports and surrounding states, a T Endorsement is a smart way to increase your opportunities. Use our Delaware CDL Doubles/Triples Practice Tests and our other endorsement and restriction-removal practice tests. Pass the official DMV exams, and advance your driving career today.
